In Loving Memory of Victoria Jean Johnson (May 17, 1952 – July 30, 2026)

Victoria Jean Johnson, affectionately known to all as “Vicky,” passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, in Buffalo, New York. Born on May 17, 1952, in Buffalo, Vicky was a vibrant, generous, and faith-filled woman who left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She graduated from South Park High School and went on to further her education at Bryant & Stratton College. Baptized at a young age, Vicky reaffirmed her life to God later in her journey, and her steadfast faith remained the true cornerstone of her existence, guiding her everyday actions and her relationships with others.

Vicky possessed a strong work ethic and a warm, outgoing personality. In her early years, she worked at Audrey & Dell's Record Shop. She was also a well-known, beloved barmaid in the Buffalo area for many years, where her welcoming spirit and lively character allowed her to forge countless lasting friendships. She later transitioned into corporate work and eventually retired from AETNA Insurance Company. Vicky was a wonderfully well-rounded woman who never hesitated to try new things. Known for her boundless generosity—often giving to a fault—she was always ready to extend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Johnson and Jacob Stewart; her son, Darryl Johnson; her brother, John Johnson; and her sister, Dinah Goree.

She leaves behind a rich legacy of love through her cherished family. Her memory will be forever treasured by her daughter, Nina Johnson, and her son, Damion Anderson; her sister, Rosalyn Wilson (Francis); and her brother, Rodney Johnson (Christine). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Santoria Frasier, Mamoon Abdellatif (MiKeisha), Damion Anderson Jr., Ivana Anderson, and Justice Anderson; her great-grandchildren: Layla James, Isaiah James, Marleigh Abdellatif, Toriana Frasier, and Armanii Taylor; special aunt to: Betty Thompson and Shar'ron Shipman; along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Grace Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, 539 William Street, Buffalo, New York 14206. Family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. Funeral to follow at 12:00 p.m.
